「我に利あり」チャンスを掴む事が出来るのは、常に狙い続けている者だけである。

移りゆく人生を水と例え、金の波紋を人生の転換期「チャンス」と捉えて表現しました。チャンスを掴む事が出来るのは、常に狙い続けている者だけです。「砂子」という技法で金の波紋を描きました。竹の筒に金箔を入れて砕き、画面に振り撒いて模様をつくります。「瑠璃色の岩絵具」レアメタルを使用して特殊な化学反応を起こすことで、天然のアズライトという宝石よりも純度の高い「青」を生み出すことに成功した特殊な岩絵具です。 

"I got it !"  The only ones who can take a chance are the ones who are always aiming for it.　

I likened the transition of life to water and expressed the ripples of gold as a "chance" at a turning point in life. The only ones who can take a chance are the ones who are always aiming. I used a technique called "Sunago" to draw gold ripples. Gold leaf is put into a bamboo tube, crushed, and sprinkled on the screen to create a pattern.   Natural pigment in blue is  a special pigment that uses rare metals to cause a special chemical reaction to produce a blue color that is more pure than the natural azurite gem.

今日も派手に大喧嘩！

なんでも許せる友人を持てるのはとても幸せな事だ。

背景の模様は純金箔と錫箔です。一筆書きで猫の突発的な動きを表現しました。

箔の下には赤や青、黄色、オレンジ、ピンク、水色、紫色、緑色、黄緑色、マゼンダ、10色程塗り、猫の感情を表しています。

猫の面白さや思いやりや信頼しあっている心の動きが、箔の間から微かに見えるようになっています。

Big brawl again today!   It's such a blessing to have a friend who can forgive you for anything.

The background pattern is an effect by pure gold leaf and tin foil. I used a single stroke to draw the cat's sudden movements.  Underneath the foil, I painted red, blue, yellow, orange, pink, light blue, purple, green, yellow-green, magenta, and about 10 colors to show the cat's emotions. Cats' funny, caring, trusting hearts are faintly visible through the foil.

これは誰にも渡さない！

欲張り猫は宝物の中で幸せそうにゴロゴロと喉を鳴らす。

水玉には「自分には足りない物」という意味があります。この水玉には全ての人が欲しくてたまらない"何か"が詰まっています。

水玉に赤（2種類）や青（3種類）黄色、オレンジ、ピンク、水色、紫色、緑色、黄緑色、マゼンダ、13色程使用し、複雑に入り組んだ配色で"宝物"を描きました。  背景には京都産の「純金箔」を使用しました。 

I'm not giving this to anyone!　The greedy cat rumbles and gurgles happily among the treasures.　

Dots have the meaning of "what you don't have enough of". These polka dots are filled with "something" that everyone wants to have.　For the polka dots, I used red (2 types), blue (3 types), yellow, orange, pink, light blue, purple, green, yellow-green, magenta, and about 13 colors to draw "treasures" in a complicated color scheme. For the background, I used "pure gold leaf" from Kyoto.

美しい雨音に包まれ、こころを研ぎ澄ませる。

生きた宝石と称される美しい青く輝く羽を持つ『モルフォ蝶』。角度によって変わる「構造色」はトヨタが15年研究して高級車「レクサス」に実用した事で話題になりました。今回の作品に『モルフォ蝶』の羽と同じ構造の特殊な絵の具を使用しました。光や傾きによって多彩な色に輝きます。

水の流れる音には様々な音が含まれております。本来ならば煩く感じる現象ですが、不思議と心が落ち着きます。

こちらの作品の猫は神秘的に輝いた「白猫」に見えますが、墨で「黒猫」を描き、強い光に反射して体毛が輝く様子を「雲母」（きら）と呼ばれる平安時代から使用されている鉱物を乗せて、内なる心の強さを表現しました。

Surrounded by the beautiful sound of rain, I can sharpen my mind. 

The "Morpho Butterfly" has beautiful blue glowing wings that are called living jewels. The "structural color" that changes depending on the angle was pursued by Toyota for 15 years and became a news when it was used in the Lexus, a luxury car. I used special paints with the same structure as the wings of the Morpho Butterfly for this work. It shines in a variety of colors depending on the light and tilt. The sound of running water includes a variety of sounds. It's a phenomenon that would normally feel bothersome, but it's strangely calming.

The cat in this work looks like a mysteriously shining white cat, but I painted a black cat in black ink and put a Mica mineral  on it, which is used since the Heian period (794-1185) to express the strength of the inner heart.

平安時代より、最も美しいと言われている朧月夜を見上げ「この月に見合うのは自分以外はない」と自信に満ちた猫を描きました。

「裏箔」薄い和紙の裏に金箔を貼って柔らかい光の月を表現しました。天然の「ラピスラズリ」という宝石を自分で砕いて作った岩絵具を青い月の光に使用しました。ヨハネス・フェルメールの描いた「真珠の耳飾りの少女」にも使用された絵具です。

青く白くゆっくりと広がる月輪を表現するために大きな刷毛で画面を何度も何度も優しく撫でて、柔らかさを出し、夜の闇と対比した「朧月」が完成しました。 

I depicted a confident cat looking up at a hazy moonlit night, which has been said to be the most beautiful since the Heian period (794-1185), and saying, "There is no one but myself who is worthy of this moon.　”Urahaku", Gold leaf is applied on the back of thin washi paper to express the soft light of the moon. I used mineral pigments made from natural lapis, a gemstone that I crushed myself, for the light of the blue moon. These paints were also used in "The Girl with the Pearl Earring" painted by Johannes Vermeer.

In order to express the blue-white, slowly spreading moon rings, I gently stroked the screen with a large brush over and over again to bring out the softness and contrast it with the darkness of the night.
